The word caviar has its roots in Latin and Sanskrit languages. No specific meaning can be imagined for this Indo-European word, but this product is known as black pearl. The reason for this name is the high nutritional value, numerous properties, scarcity and high price of caviar.

Another name for caviar is energy bomb. The reason for this name is that each gram of caviar has 28 kcal of energy. Caviar is the unfertilized egg of sturgeon fish. Sturgeons are millions of years old. The history of these aquatic animals goes back to the Jurassic era. For the same reason, caviar fish are called the living fossils of the world. 

Types of caviar fish

There are many breeds of these fish. The different species of these aquatic organisms are:

• Qarabron (black nose) or Persian fish dice

• Chalbash (playful) or Russian fish dice

• Ship (bare belly) or spiny fish dice

• Ozonbron (long nose) or Tirij

• Elephant fish or Husu Husu

• Siberia

• Asterliad

• Kaluga.

The habitats of these fish include rivers, seas and different oceans. Among them, we can refer to the Volga, Amur, Yenisei, Lena and Ob rivers. Also, the Caspian Lake of Iran and the Siberian, Black, Mediterranean and Atlantic seas are other habitats of tas fish. The Atlantic Ocean and the Pacific Ocean are other habitats of sturgeon fish.

There are different types of caviar. Among these types, the following examples can be mentioned.

• Beluga caviar

• Astra caviar

• Suruga caviar

• Berry caviar

• Asterliad caviar

Caviar is one of the most expensive foods in the world. Dice fish eggs are considered one of the luxury foods. In fact, caviar is considered the most aristocratic breakfast in the world.

Sturgeons have nutritional and medicinal value not only because of their meat but also because of their eggs. Caviar should not be cooked in any way. This substance has great nutritional and medicinal value.

The important point in consuming this product is that it must be eaten cold. Also, it should not be served in metal containers because it changes its taste when exposed to metal alloys. Doctors advise to consume caviar in breakfast. Because the human body has the best and most intake in the early hours of the day.
